CIRCLES AND CURVES
My clients wanted a garden that was easy to maintain, where they could entertain family and friends and was child- friendly for their active grandchildren. They requested plants that would offer fragrance, colour and seasonal interest and to include some of their favourite plants.

To complement the setting and their new build property, my design combines both modern and rustic elements; contemporary sawn sandstone paving has been used alongside tumbled paviours to create the curved paths and seating areas. A bespoke oak pergola provides support for climbers, trained along its frame, giving shade and privacy from neighbouring properties.

A hornbeam hedge divides the garden, with a wide opening that frames the view to a large terracotta urn, converted into a stunning water feature. Hidden from view, behind the hedge, is a further seating area with a bistro table and chairs; a quiet space to relax and listen to the water tumbling onto the stones.
